Thought of the day

Courage VS Intelligence
Let me first begin by appreciating you for taking the time to reading through this piece of writing, I hope it speaks to you and stirs you to action. The reason why I wanted to take this as my first official post is because in many sessions I have had to present I have listened to the most brilliant of ideas and I have read some of the most mind blowing business plans and have had the chance to listen to very good business pitches yet I have seen no movement or follow up from these people.
Then I asked myself is it an intelligence issue, then I realized that no ways the reason they came with these plans or ideas it is because they had a sense of intelligence yet the fear to apply the intelligence kept them in the stagnancy of being big dreamers yet taking no big step. That made me to realize that many of us need that missing ingredient called COURAGE. This ingredient separates the boys from the men because it comes at a price.
The saddest thing is people have died with big talents that they never used and great ideas which they never shared, great melodies which they never sang, let me bring this home your dream will never be accomplished by a good plan or a great motivational talk but will be accomplished by you rolling out your sleeves and getting down to it no matter the cost, many uneducated people accomplished greatness through steps of courage even though naturally they were not qualified.
Examples
Beethoven- was told in his teenage years that he had no future in music yet through fighting against all odds today he is counted amongst the greatest composers of all time
Thomas Edison- his primary school teacher told him he was useless and would amount to nothing,  he left school at an early age and was home schooled, his persistence led him to a point that he revolutionized the fate of mankind by inventing the light bulb even after failing 999 times,
Steven Spielberg- A college drop out who left college at an early age to go and pursue a career he was not qualified for thanks to his courage today he is one of the greatest film producers of all time
You ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….. Fill in the missing words.
To your qualification and to your skills set add courage and you will afford us writers the leverage to fill in the missing words remember FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BRAVE.

The Great Performer

THE PURPOSE OF THE GREAT PERFORMER
I suppose this is one of the most interesting pieces of writing I have ever endeavored to write, this is mainly caused by three factors namely the time in which I write this book, secondly the subject that I am treating and thirdly the person that I am writing to, having said that I must be grateful to you for taking the time to page through this book.
These are three areas that motivated me to write this book:
Time:  I started writing this book a day after the opening of the Soweto Performance academy where we had 300 grade 12 students, who looked at me with unwavering attention as I rendered a motivational talk, their focus and attention gave me a different perception on what is known as a ghetto child.
I realized that the new breed of Sowetans hate failure and would like to do better than their predecessors, this grew my vision of just speaking to them to dig deep into my God given pool of talent and create a training book, that will equip them to be competitive after their Grade 12. As one company said on top it is a school but underneath we are unearthing diamonds
The beginning of greatness is filled with uncertainty as you have seen no one do it before, but when you keep on keeping on soon they will call you a visionary. (Sizwe Mtiyane)
The subject
This book was born 2010 a year after we had very disappointing grade 12, results; this therefore makes the subject very important for the class of 2010, who need to do far better than their seniors.
Also my social scenes have shown me the importance of this subject as I sit daily with man and woman who present great ideas but never follow them through. It is with no doubt that people need to be educated, trained and equipped to be action people.
The distance between a dream and achievement is implementing a plan of action. (Sizwe Mtiyane)
The reader
In the days of the great wars one speaker said that the pen is mightier than the sword, I know for a fact that this book will land on hands that have never personally met me but through, the power of the written word you and I can hold hands in this journey of helping you to reach your maximum potential.
I write this book knowing that I am not the only dreamer, but there are many of us out there, therefore I would like to be that catalyst that stirs you into action and helps you to live in the peak of your potential.
To go beyond one page and read to the end of a book is the beginning of the renewal of mind. (Sizwe Mtiyane)
